Can I move my Tonal to a new location myself, or do I need professional assistance?
It depends. We strongly recommend completing the uninstallation and reinstallation with new hardware and the help of our authorized installers for added safety.
But if you’re sure you want to take care of everything solo, you can sign a Release of Liability waiver. This can impact your warranty coverage, so make sure you review that before you decide.
Are there any specific tools required for uninstalling Tonal?
Yes, to uninstall Tonal yourself, you’ll need:
4mm Allen Wrench: for button head type screw
10mm hex socket: for hex head bolt
7/16 socket (for wood studs—10 mm for metal, or ⅜ for concrete)
Ratchet and extension
Heavy-duty zip ties (12” x 0.14)
Drop cloth/moving blanket
Drill (optional)
Can I use the same wall for mounting Tonal, or do I need to find a different wall if I want to change locations within the same room?
We need to install Tonal on a different wall to ensure it can be fastened securely to the studs.
Is there any advice for planning the layout of the new space for Tonal?
Yes — make sure the new space meets our installation requirements. We’re always happy to review it with you before Tonal’s reinstalled to ensure it goes smoothly.
Membership during your move
Will my Tonal membership be affected by the relocation process?
If you're moving within your current state, your Tonal membership won’t change. No sweat!
But if you venture out of state, the taxes on your membership fees may change.
Can I temporarily pause my Tonal membership during the relocation period?
Yes, you can give us a call at (855) MY-TONAL or submit a request if you’d like to pause your membership while you move.
Warranty considerations
Are there any precautions or guidelines for moving Tonal to prevent damage or voiding the warranty?

Can I move my Tonal to a different country if I relocate internationally?
No, we don’t support international moves. Taking Tonal out of the country will void your warranty, and you won’t be able to get your trainer serviced if there’s an issue.
If you’re still planning on moving Tonal internationally, we recommend signing a Release of Liability waiver with us before you go.

How can I save money during the relocation process?
Opt for the reinstallation-only kit to save some pennies in your moving budget. You handle the uninstall, packing, and transportation to your new spot. We’ll meet you there on reinstallation day and get you set up!
Will I need to recalibrate my weight suggestions on Tonal after moving it to a new location?
No, all you need to do is log in and work out as usual!
What happens if I encounter issues during or after the relocation process?

How do I pack and protect Tonal during the move to prevent damage?
Tonal can be handled similarly to a large screen TV: it must be stored face-up on its back, wrapped in bubble wrap, and/or moving blankets for transport.
