Installation Requirements: Slanted Ceiling

When installing in a room with a slanted ceiling the minimum height required for full arm extension, without needing to modify exercises, is 94”. Please refer to the figures below for measuring specifications.

There are two types of slanted ceilings to consider; a slope that starts lower on one side of Tonal and rises across the other side (as seen in Figure 1), and a slope that starts from the wall where Tonal is to be mounted and rises away from the wall towards the center of your room (as seen in Figure 2).

For a slanted ceiling that starts lower on one side and rises higher on the other (Figure 1):

  1. Locate where you would like to install Tonal.

  2. Once the location is selected measure 28” from the center of the stud placement to the left and right.

  3. From 28” out measure 94” up from the floor.

If the ceiling is lower than 94” at that point some exercises may need to be modified and Tonal will have to further review your space before your installation can be approved.

For a slanted ceiling that slopes upward away from the wall and above Tonal (Figure 2):

  1. Locate where you would like to install Tonal.

  2. Once the location is selected measure 31” away from the wall.

  3. From 31” out measure 94” up from the floor.

  4. If the ceiling is lower than 94” at that point some exercises may need to be modified and Tonal will have to further review your space before your installation can be approved.
