What to DO for a seamless Tonal relocation
First, let’s go over what you should do:
Check how your moving plans impact your installation warranty.
Review Tonal’s installation requirements and make sure your new space meets them.
Let us know you’re moving, and order your kit well ahead of time.
Pack and store Tonal with care to ensure it arrives safely at the new place.

What NOT to do when you relocate Tonal
Don’t: Forget to review your Tonal warranty before you plan your move.
When you team up with us to move your Tonal, we've got your back to ensure your installation warranty stays intact.
But hey, if you plan to move Tonal yourself or want to move Tonal overseas, it’s a good idea to understand how this impacts your warranty. And if you’re sure you want to take the risks associated with these moves, you can sign a Release of Liability.
Don’t: Forget to check that your new space is compatible with Tonal.
It's always a good call to have our installation requirements handy when you decide on your new space, and we strongly suggest going over your new setup with us before reinstallation day.
Don’t: Put off ordering your relocation kit until the last minute.
We have an easy-to-use tool (coming soon!) that can help you decide which kit you’ll need for your move, but we need to know about your plans at least three (3) weeks ahead of time.
Don’t: Improperly pack and/or store Tonal for your move.
Packing Tonal up and storing it for a move is easy, but it needs to be done with care.
Tonal can be handled similarly to a large screen TV: it must be stored face-up, on its back, and wrapped in bubble wrap and/or moving blankets for transport.
Whether it's the moving day hustle or the anticipation before, remember to keep an eye on the storage conditions. Aim to match these temperature guidelines whenever possible:
Storage temperature: -13° to 113° F (-25° to 45° C)
Relative humidity: 0% to 90% non-condensing
Don’t: Forget to pack your Smart Accessories, wide mount (if you have one), reinstallation kit (if you had it sent to your current address), and mounting bracket for your move.
To make sure that your relocation goes as smoothly and seamlessly as possible, it’s important to make sure you have everything you need to get Tonal up and running on reinstallation day.
While we don’t reuse the bolts used to fasten the mounting bracket to the studs, we do reuse the mounting bracket to fasten Tonal to the wall. Not having all of the equipment that our installation partners need to complete the job may cause delays or mean they need to cancel the appointment altogether.
