Whether you're looking for a quick one-off session or a complement to your current program, Your Daily Lift ensures you get an optimized workout without the hassle of planning.

What is Your Daily Lift?

Your Daily Lift is a custom workout intelligently built for you based on your recent lifts and recovery, refreshed daily to help you build muscle. It’s designed to take the guesswork out of training, delivering a fully personalized session with just a tap.

Here’s what makes it special:

  • A workout built just for you - Tailored to your training preferences and muscle readiness, Your Daily Lift refreshes daily at 12AM local time to keep your routine optimized.

  • Built with the insight of real coaches and performance experts - Developed leveraging the same principles Tonal’s expert coaches and performance team use to deliver world-class programming, so every workout is grounded in proven training methodologies.

  • Jump right in or customize - Hit Start Workout, or tweak elements like duration, workout focus, or specific movements to match your needs that day.

  • Variety at your fingertips - Get exposure to a wider variety of exercises that keep you challenged in different ways to level up your full-body strength.

Who is it for?

Your Daily Lift is ideal for:

  • Members looking for great one-off workouts - If you prefer unguided workouts or Custom by Tonal workouts, this is the perfect way to train without decision fatigue.

  • Members who want workouts customized for them, but don’t always want to have to put time and effort into manually building workouts themselves on Custom or Free Lift.

  • Members looking to complement their program - whether you’re in between program workouts, want a bit of an extra burn that day, or just want to mix in some variety, Your Daily Lift is always there.

How to Access Your Daily Lift

You’ll find Your Daily Lift right on your Tonal or mobile app, automatically refreshed every day on your “Today” tile, “For You” page, and Custom tab. With the option to adjust as needed, it’s like having a personal trainer fine-tuning your routine, minus the extra effort.

Selecting any of these entry points will bring you to a fully customized workout built exclusively for you, refreshed every day. Daily Lift workouts can also be modified through the Tonal mobile app to better suit your workout preferences. Try regenerating the workout with the tap of a button, or use filters to fine-tune your workout.

  • Today” tile - Your Daily Lift will appear on the Today tile as your daily workout recommendation, unless you're actively participating in a Program and have completed a Program workout within the last 14 days. In that case, Daily Lift will be temporarily hidden from the Today tile to prioritize your scheduled session. You can still access it anytime from the Home screen, the Custom tab, or the For You page.

  • For You Page - On the For You page (found under the Explore tab), your Daily Lift will appear right at the top of the screen as the first recommended workout, making it quick and easy to jump in.

  • Custom Tab - You can also find Your Daily Lift on the Custom tab.

  • Homescreen - From the Home screen on your Tonal trainer or mobile app, look for the Daily Lift tile under the “Custom by Tonal” row. Just tap the tile to view and start your workout.

How to Use Your Daily Lift

Start by tapping Your Daily Lift on the Today tile on the homescreen or any of the above entry points. When the Workout Details screen appears, you’ll have a chance to review the workout and either start or customize your workout even further. By tapping Customize Daily Lift at the top of your Workout Details screen, a QR code will appear, redirecting you to our Tonal mobile app.

From here, you can customize your daily lift to better suit your needs by selecting your Workout Duration as well as your Target Muscle Groups — Push, Pull, Upper Body, Legs, and Full Body. Focusing on ‘Push’ emphasizes your chest, shoulders, and triceps, whereas focusing on ‘Pull’ works your back and biceps.’Upper Body’ includes both ‘Push’ and ‘Pull’ muscle groups, ‘Legs’ will target your lower body, and ‘Full Body’ will ensure you feel a burn across upper, core and lower muscle groups. Once you’ve selected your preferences, tap “Build My Workout” to check out your newly generated Daily Lift workout!

You can adjust your blocks to add more desired customization to your workout. As soon as you're ready, tap “Update”, then tap back into Your Daily Lift on Tonal to see your new workout ready to start! If you'd like to swap out any exercises, you can also use Movement Replacements either on the trainer or in the mobile app before or during your workout to tailor it even further.
