At Tonal, we want to assure you that our commitment to quality extends beyond the purchase of your Tonal trainer, Smart Accessories, and replacement parts. When you purchase Tonal, it comes with a warranty to put your mind at ease.

What is the duration of Tonal's warranty?
Tonal’s warranty coverage is valid for two (2) years from the date that your Tonal trainer is delivered for parts, shipping of those parts, and labor. Your Smart Accessories have one (1) year of coverage.

Are there any specific conditions or exclusions to Tonal’s warranty coverage?
Yes. The following conditions or circumstances, among others, are excluded from your warranty coverage:
Normal wear and tear.
Commercial use of Tonal.
Software and software functionality, even if licensed or sold with or embedded in the product or internet connectivity. Tonal does not warrant that the use or operation will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Damage or loss of access as a result of Tonal’s termination or suspension of your account.
Data loss and any costs associated with data recovery.
Defects or malfunctions experienced during or caused by use that is not in conformity with documentation and technical specifications.
Damage caused by natural disasters or acts of God, power reduction, fluctuation or failure from whatever cause, electrical wiring, misuse, accident, neglect, abuse, vandalism, alteration, improper or unauthorized modification, or tampering.
Damage to your property, home, walls, or floors that may result from installation or removal of Tonal.
Tonal products that have been resold, stolen, or that Tonal reasonably believes to be resold, stolen, counterfeit, or purchased from an unauthorized distributor or reseller; trainers located outside the United States; and Tonal products missing serial numbers.
Damage caused by improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repair.
Damage caused by improper installation, relocation, or uninstallation.

Does the warranty cover normal wear and tear?
No. Tonal’s warranty doesn’t cover normal wear and tear.
How do I register my Tonal product for warranty coverage?
You don’t need to register your product to be covered under the warranty - the warranty period is tracked within your account records that our Customer Care team accesses whenever you contact us for assistance.
What is the process for making a warranty claim?
To begin with, we encourage you to attempt some of our general troubleshooting steps to identify the problem and then give the team a call at (855) MY-TONAL. The team will then help to determine the best resolution to get you back to training quickly.
Is there a fee or cost associated with services that are covered by the warranty?
If you are in your warranty coverage period and the issue is within the warranty coverage, then there is no additional fee or cost. If you are outside your warranty period or it is determined the issue is a result of an issue that’s been excluded from coverage - like misuse - charges may apply.
Can I transfer the warranty if I sell or give away my Tonal system?
No. The original warranty is not transferable.
Are there any exclusions or situations that could void the warranty?

Are there any specific warranty provisions for Tonal accessories?
Yes. Smart Accessories are subject to a one (1) year warranty.
What is the turnaround time for warranty servicing?
In most cases, warranty services will be completed in under 30 days, subject to the complexity of the issue, availability of parts, and accessibility of the location by our installation partners. Once we determine that your Tonal trainer needs service, the team will communicate often to keep you informed of the status of your resolution.
Can I opt to have my trainer replaced if I have an issue?
No. Our experienced team will assess and diagnose your issue and will determine the best servicing option to get you training again quickly.
Does the warranty apply to a refurbished Tonal trainer?
Yes! If you purchase a refurbished Tonal trainer through Tonal.com, you are covered under the same limited warranty as a new Tonal.
What to expect: The warranty servicing experience

Can I get an extended warranty for my new Tonal trainer?
Yes! As of November 1, 2023, we have partnered with Extend, a leader in technology-enabled product protection, to give you the option to purchase 4- and 5-year coverage on new Tonal trainer and Smart Accessories bundle purchases. These extended warranty options feature expanded coverage, such as accidental damage, and they extend the life span of the warranty on mechanical and electrical issues, beyond the standard warranty period that Tonal provides. (At this time, refurbished trainers and accessories purchased separately are not eligible for the extended warranty from Extend.)

If you already own a Tonal trainer, this may not be an option for you, but you may explore warranty options from other companies. Keep in mind though that warranties offered by other providers will have terms and conditions determined solely by the provider, such as other product protection warranties offered by Extend. These other warranty options and providers are not affiliated with Tonal, so we can't answer any questions you might have about them, the quality of their services or the extent of their warranty coverage.
