Pairing Smart Accessories to your Tonal is as easy as pairing a set of headphones to your phone! All you have to do is confirm that the accessories have batteries to get started. The Smart Handles requires two (2) AA batteries while the Bar Control Module requires one (1) AAA battery.
Once you’ve confirmed there are batteries in your Smart Accessories, press the button on both the Smart Handles and the Bar Control Module. They should display a blue light that indicates the batteries are working and the accessory is ready to be paired.
Steps to pair the Smart Accessories
Follow these steps for each individual accessory, working with one accessory at a time:
Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Settings menu.
Tap on the Tonal icon to access Tonal settings.
Tap on Accessories to access Accessory settings.
In the Smart Accessories section, tap ADD SMART ACCESSORY.
Push the blue button on one of the Smart Handles. This may take a couple of pushes to get it to connect. Push the button once every few seconds until it pairs. You will see the updated accessories list.
Now that one Smart Handle is paired, follow the same steps to pair the second Smart Handle and Bar Control Module.
