In-Workout Controls

Tonal allows you to train hard while letting you be in charge of the in-workout controls! These controls not only let you set the pace that suits you but also make sure that you feel empowered during a workout.

Here’s a quick guide on what each in-workout control does.

  1. Pause/Play: Didn’t have a perfect rep? No problem! Want to skip a rep? No problem! Use the pause and play button to advance or rewind as you wish.

  2. Weight Controls: Feel free to change your weights with the super super handy -/+ on the top of the weight dial. You can easily adjust them as per your need.

  3. Dynamic Weight Modes: Level up your workout by increasing and decreasing your weight. You can also enable spotter and burnout modes to relax your muscles when needed.

  4. Music Controls: Pause, play or skip songs based on your mood. 

  5. Volume Controls: Increase or decrease the volume as you please during a workout!

  6. Auto-Advance: If you turn the weight off or release the cable when 50% or more of your reps have been completed, you'll see a pop up on the screen asking "next move?" or “x”. You can click the “Next Move” button to move on, or the “x” to stay on your move. Remember: even if Tonal moves on before you’re ready, you can always tap the screen and go back to complete your set.
